Liberal Education Requirements for Bachelor of Arts Degree

Major Requirements

It should include six credit hours at the one-hundred level.
At least twenty-four hours in history courses at the 200 level or above including:

The Nature of History (H217)
Six hours of American History
Six hours of European History including Russian History
Six hours in other areas such as Asian History or Latin American History.
Pro-seminar for History Majors (J495) Fulfills 2nd level writing requirements. History majors must submit a portfolio of written work to the department chairperson at least 60 days before the seminar begins.
