Priority II requests require an IU South Bend Account Number

as hallways, lounges, personal offices, or outdoor areas. Requests
for exception to this policy may be discussed with the Director

Departmental Equipment
IMS does not purchase or support equipment that is used exclusively

purchased with funds generated by a division or department and is
usually housed within that department. IMS does provide consultation
on the purchasing, maintenance and proper use of the equipment.
It is strongly recommended that departments consult with IMS before
purchasing any AV equipment.
Use of Equipment by Students
Student use of equipment is generally not permitted. Exceptions
include VHS camcorders for class projects, when the instructor makes
the request. IMS staff will consult with students concerning needs,
but typically do not train students in operation of equipment, or
assist students in the development of media.
