Applying to the Nursing Program
Preferred Deadlines:
Fall Semester: March 1st
Spring Semester: October 1st
Indiana University South Bend Nursing program offers two (2) opportunities
each year to be admitted to the clinical nursing program.
Students who wish to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (120 credit hours)
and licensure as a Registered Nurse must complete approximately 31-38 credit hours
of prerequisite course work at the college level (see Requirements).
Students then apply for admission to the clinical BSN program which is three
years of nursing and general education course work.
The deadline to apply for Spring admission to the nursing program is
October 1st. Applications are available from the Office of Student
Services, Northside 456B, September 1st.
The deadline to apply for Fall admission to the nursing program is
March 1st. Applications are available from the Office of Student Services,
February 1st.
Interested students should contact Student Services at 574-520-4571 for further
information on the clinical application and degree requirements.
Students who have completed nursing courses at another college or university,
but have not completed a degree in nursing, should request a Clinical Transfer
Application. Contact Student Services, Northside 456B or call 574-520-4571.
Registered Nurses who wish to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at IUSB
should request an RN packet from Student Services, Northside 456B or call
574-520-4571.
