Each year students do not receive awards simply
because they fail to apply.
Student Services maintains binders
in Northside Room 452 on Scholarship opportunities. We encourage you to
come and inquire about them as soon as the academic year starts.
Information and the applications are updated as they are received and are
separated into four groups. Normally scholarship deadlines are March 1st
of each year. Please check with Student Services to verify scholarship
deadlines.
Scholarships awarded by Indiana University South Bend Nursing Program
- Each year the faculty of the IUSB Nursing program review applications and
select recipients for a number of scholarships. The criteria for each
scholarship varies based upon the wishes of the donor.
- Due to the generosity of many, new scholarship opportunities have become
available the past few years.
- Often many students do not receive awards simply because they fail to
complete an application.

The following is a list of IUSB Nursing
program scholarships. Click on each link to view the scholarship criteria
and application.
Scholarships awarded by Indiana University School of Nursing
- At last 15-20 scholarships are given each year.
- These are mostly financial need based scholarships. In order to be
eligible for these scholarships, you must apply for Financial Aid.
- Most of these scholarships are for students who have been officially
admitted to an IU Nursing Program.
- Each scholarship has its individual criteria for selection. Some
require students to agree to work in a certain county or be a resident of a
certain county.
- Application deadline is March 1st.
- An essay indicating why you should be considered for this scholarship is
required. Using a separate sheets of paper, type a presentable and
convincing essay. See information at Northside Room 452, Binder #2.
Scholarships awarded by Indiana University South Bend
- Each scholarship has a different focus, purpose, and criteria. For
more information, call the Office of Student Scholarships at (574) 520-4483

Scholarships Awarded by Outside Agencies
- Each year the number varies. The deadlines and criteria change
frequently. (See Binder #1, Northside, Room 452)
