Four women and four men from Indiana University South Bend recently received honors from the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC).
Juniors Jamie Bonner and Emily Ladd both received First Team All-CCAC along with NAIA Division 1 Honorable Mention All-American. Bonner is from Morrice, Mich., and Ladd is from Kokomo, Ind.
Ladd also received the Daktronics NAIA Women’s Basketball All-American Scholar Athlete. More than 95 women’s basketball players from across the country were named to the Daktronics-NAIA Women’s Basketball All-American Scholar-Athletes. Student-athletes named to the list must have achieved junior status and a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Ladd is a forward and majoring in sports marketing and has a 3.83 GPA.
Stephanie Campbell and Katrina Smith received Honorable Mention All-CCAC. Campbell is a sophomore from Muncie, Ind., and Smith is freshman from Indianapolis.
Elkhart native Justin Van Dyke was named to the First Team All-CCAC while Dustin O’Dell, of Argos, was named Freshman of the Year-CCAC. Van Dyke is a junior.
Two other men received honorable mention to the All-CCAC team - Elkhart sophomore Jeremy Herring and South Bend native and senior Paul Sammons.

Ladd (forward)-16.4 points per game; 7.5 rebounds per game. Career high – 40 points vs. Illinois Tech.
Bonner (guard)–10.4 points per game; 4.2 assists per game; hit 38 percent of three-point shots
Smith (forward)–9.6 points per game; 6.7 rebounds per game; led team with 33 blocked shots
Campbell (guard)–9.2 points per game; hit 38 percent of three point shots
Sammons (forward)–15.5 points per game; 6.2 rebounds per game
VanDyke (forward)–14.7 points per game; 6.4 rebounds per game; hit 67 percent of two-point shots
O’Dell (guard)–10.7 points per game; hit 47 percent of three-point shots
Herring (forward)–10.8 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game.
