Mishawaka resident John W. Vogt Jr. will receive the Outstanding Associate Faculty Award from Indiana University South Bend’s School of Business and Economics. Vogt was selected to receive the award by the full-time faculty members.
The award will be presented at the annual Honors Day Luncheon on April 4 in the Associates Building, Ruskin Street.
Vogt has been an associate faculty member at IU South Bend for 10 years. He teaches courses in organizational change, marketing, new venture growth, new venture creation and small business practicum.
He received a bachelor’s of arts degree in economics from the University of Notre Dame, a master’s of science degree from the Air Force Institute of Technology and a master’s of arts degree in personnel administration from Central Michigan University.
Retired from the U.S. Air Force with the rank of lieutenant colonel, he was a B-52 pilot, instructor pilot and flight commander. He also served as a base level supply officer and acquisition program manager.
Since 1995, he has been the senior aerospace instructor at Clay High School, South Bend.
