The meeting will be conducted via video and teleconferencing and will feature the IU Board of Trustees, IU President Adam Herbert and other IU administrators. IU South Bend is among eight sites that will participate in the forum.

The forum will enable the trustees to receive preliminary information about tuition and fee recommendations from the university administration, and then take comments and questions from participants throughout the state.

Herbert will open the forum and then turn it over to Judy Palmer, IU vice president and chief financial officer, who will update the trustees on the status of the administration's tuition and fees recommendations.

Ken Beckley, president of the IU Alumni Association, will serve as moderator and direct questions and comments to the trustees.

"The information presented in this forum will help students, parents and others better understand how the costs of operating Indiana University impact tuition rates and how we strive to maintain accessibility, quality and affordability," said Frederick F. Eichhorn Jr., president of the board.

Trustees are not expected to act on 2005-06 tuition and mandatory fees until the legislature finishes work on a new state budget and the level of state support for higher education is known.
