Bayh Job Fair 2007
Indiana University South Bend will be the site for a job fair, job training and small business summit on Tuesday, Aug.21, in the Student Activities Center. More than 50 employers are expected to be in attendance with job opportunities.
The event, which is the first of five job fairs scheduled across the state, is sponsored by U.S. Senator Evan Bayh. Locally, the fair is co-sponsored by IU South Bend, Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana, Service Corps of Retired Executives, Small Business Development Center, WorkOne and St. Joseph County Chamber of Commerce.
The doors will open at 9 a.m. and Bayh will speak at 9:30 a.m. The fair will close at noon.
Local education and training institutions will present opportunities to strengthen skills. Small business resources organizations will be available to discuss how to start a business or pointers on how to help a business to grow.
The activities center is located off of 20th Street, near the intersection of Mishawaka Avenue, on the east edge of campus.
