Nursing Students and Faculty Report on
Katrina Relief Efforts
IU South Bend nursing students and faculty who spent two weeks in Louisiana following Hurricane Katrina will have a presentation on their experiences and relief efforts. The presentation will be at noon, Wednesday, Dec. 7, in the Quiet Lounge, off of the Administration Building cafeteria, IU South Bend.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will include a Powerpoint presentation and time for questions and answers.
Thirteen students and two instructors left Sept. 6, from campus for the 800 mile drive Louisiana State University at Alexandria to work in a field hospital. The assignment came from the Louisiana Board of Health and they worked with the Red Cross.
