Twelve student clubs at Indiana University South Bend will have a food and toiletries donation from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 15 at the Administration Building circle on Mishawaka Avenue and the Student Activities Center parking lot off of 20th Street.
The clubs are asking the IU South Bend and Michiana communities to contribute non-perishable food items and toiletries for the holiday season. The food will be donated to the Center for the Homeless, Hope Rescue Mission and the Northern Indiana Food Bank. The toiletries will be given to the YWCA.
The Black Student Union initiated the project. Joining the drive are the Advertising Club, Civil Rights Heritage Center, Environmental Justice Association, German Club, Marketing Club, Psi Chi, Political Science Club, Student Alumni Association, Student Government Association, Right to Life and Taiwanese Association.
