Indiana University South Bend will have its first spring Battle of the Bands competition on Monday, March 22, in the Student Activities Center. The music will begin at 6 p.m.

The Student Activities Board is currently accepting application packets from bands interested in playing. Bands must provide a compact disc of sample music, contact information from at least one band member, technical requirements for the band and biographical information.

Bands must play original music. Cover bands need not apply. Deadline for entering is Feb. 20. Bands will be notified by Feb. 24.

The first place prize is $400, second is $200 and third place is $100.
