Indiana University South Bend will celebrate basketball homecoming on Saturday, Feb. 5, with two games, a book drive for Madison Elementary School and the inaugural hall of fame presentation to a former player.
Alumni and friends are invited for the day’s festivities. All events are free and open to the public.
The Lady Titans will play St. Xavier University, Chicago, at noon and the men’s team will play East-West University, Chicago, at 2 p.m. in the Student Activities Center.
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be a book drive for Madison School. Bring in two children’s books (new or gently used) and receive a slice of pizza and a soda.
At half time during the men’s game, Tiffany Davis Crist will be the first player inducted into the IU South Bend hall of fame. Crist played form 1993 to 1997. She is the all time leading scorer with 1,602, the most steals with 396 and the most rebounds with 788.
Crist was original from Winamac and currently lives in Indianapolis.
