The Jubilee Cross, which is traveling throughout the Catholic Diocese of Fort Wayne/South Bend for the diocese’s 150th anniversary, will make a stop at Indiana University South Bend. As part of the celebration, the Newman Catholic Student Association will have an ecumenical prayer service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the peace pole near the Schurz Library.
After the short service, the cross will travel to Wiekamp Hall and rest there for the noon mass. A pizza luncheon will follow for all those who attend.
The Jubilee Pilgrim Cross serves as a witness of gratitude for the many blessings that the diocese has received and as a call for reconciliation and peace in families, communities and country, and around the world, according the Web site.
