Conferences to Examine Relationships, Education
The Office of Campus Diversity at Indiana University South Bend will have two conferences in the upcoming weeks. One will explore romantic relationships, and the second will examine poverty and how it impacts a child’s education.
A women's conference will focus on building healthy and romantic relationships. It will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 3 in Room 1001, Wiekamp Hall.
Speakers will include Catherine Borshuk, associate professor of psychology, and Robert Bedford, director of Making the Academic Connection, at IU South Bend.
The education conference, which is co-sponsored by the School of Education, will be from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 9, in Room 1001, Wiekamp Hall.
The speakers will be Marsha Heck, associate professor of secondary education and Amanda Serenevy, of the Riverbend Community Math Center.
