Searfoss Named Alumni Affairs Director

Cyndy Searfoss has been named to the position of alumni affairs and campus ceremonies director at Indiana University South Bend. She comes to IU South Bend after serving as the director of creative services for advertising and publishing groups within Studio A Advertising, Mishawaka..

Originally from the Indianapolis area, she received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Indiana University, Bloomington, and a master’s degree in English and creative writing from the University of Notre Dame.

Before Studio A, she was partner and creative director of WH and T Addept Communications, Granger. Previously she had a similar position with Design Ink, Inc., Granger. Searfoss began her career as a reporter/photographer at the Shelbyville News, Shelbyville, Ind., and also served as public relations director for the Humane Society of St. Joseph County.

At Studio A, Searfoss worked in print production, Web development, copywriting, photography and editorial, and as the primary writer and editor for the Michiana Executive Journal, where she managed a staff of eight creative professionals.
