Sam Centellas has been named the new director of student life at Indiana University South Bend. Centellas was formerly employed by Albion College, Albion, Mich., where he was assistant director for Greek life and student organizations.
He began his new role on Feb. 1.
Centellas received his bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Mich., and his master's in college student affairs leadership from Grand Valley State University, Allendale, Mich.
He is a member of the Hazing Prevention National Board in Boulder, Colo, the national president of his fraternity, Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc., Iowa City, Iowa, and a member of the Gamma Sigma Alpha Greek Academic Honorary National Board in Los Angeles, Calif.
Centellas speaks to organizations on a number of topics including hazing, risk management, diversity, eating disorders, recruitment and membership accountability.
