Maureen J. Muldoon recently was named special events coordinator at Indiana University South Bend. With more than 20 years of experience in planning and coordinating, she most recently she ran her own planning business, MJM Meetings and Special Events.
She will be working with the campus and the community to plan events on campus. “This is a great opportunity to use what I have learned in my own planning business,” she said.
For five years, Muldoon was a meetings manager for the American Society of Agricultural Engineers in St. Joseph, Mich. She traveled and set up national meetings and conference for groups up to 2,000.
Prior to her own business, Muldoon was vice president from 1986 to 1990 of Bonnie Doon Ice Cream, Corp., the family business which was founded by her grandfather, Herman Muldoon.
She is past president of Women Business Owners of Michiana and board member of the General Studies Alumni Association.
She received both her associates and bachelor’s degree in general studies from IU South Bend.
