Steven W. Rose recently was named director of dining services for Indiana University South Bend. Rose, who is a native of South Bend, comes from the University of Notre Dame, where he was senior production manager at the North Dining Hall.

He will begin his new assignment on July 5.

Before Notre Dame, he worked as a manufacturing and receiving supervisor at Kevco Distribution, Inc., Elkhart, and as a district manager at South Bend Chocolate Co.

He received his bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Bethel College in 2005. Rose also is a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School, South Bend.
