William J. O’Donnell was recently named vice chancellor of administration and fiscal affairs at Indiana University South Bend. O’Donnell started his new position on Feb. 16.
Prior to his South Bend position, O’Donnell was assistant vice president and controller for Desert Research Institute, Reno, Nev. The institute is the research campus of the University and Community College System of Nevada.
He previously served from 1989 to 1999 as director of administrative services and controller at Montana State University – Northern, Havre, Mont., and as senior auditor for the State of Montana, Office of Legislative Auditor from 1984 to 1989.
O’Donnell received his master’s degree in business administration in 2003 from the University of Nevada, Reno, and the bachelor’s of science degree in 1979 from the University of Montana, Missoula.
He is a native of Havre, Mont.
