Castano Bishop Joins UCET
Marianne Castano Bishop recently joined the University Center for Excellence in Teaching (UCET) at Indiana University South Bend as instructional strategies consultant. At UCET she will assist faculty in developing and implementing instructional projects, courses, and presentations, as well as providing support on instructional design and pedagogical issues.
Before coming to IU South Bend, she was the manager of instructional technology and training at Rhode Island College. She was responsible for faculty and staff development as well as the integration of technology with pedagogy and practice.
Castano Bishop was also a faculty member at the University of Massachusetts-Boston and Rhode Island College, and worked as a researcher at the Education Development Center, Inc. She is also an advocate for disability and diversity issues.
She completed her doctorate from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, majoring in human development and psychology, and minoring in technology in education.
