Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts Receives
Special Recognition from Sculpture Society
The Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts of Indiana University South Bend will receive special recognition for its sculpture program from the National Sculpture Society.
The award will be presented at a black tie dinner on May 19, at the Sculpture Celebration Weekend at Brookgreen Gardens, Pawleys Island, S.C. The sculpture celebration is held in a different part of the country each year. Brookgreen was the nation's first sculpture garden.
The special citation is recognizing the school's dedication which furthers the cause of figurative sculpture.
The National Sculpture Society is the oldest organization of professional sculptors in the United States. Longtime society member and retired IU South Bend faculty member Harold "Tuck" Langland recommend that the campus receive the award.
