A traveling exhibit of art produced by U.S. veterans will make a short stop at psychology Professor De Bryant’s Art, Film and Social Change class on Nov. 19. The multimedia show with slides and music will be part of the class from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in Northside 113. After the class, the exhibit will remain in the classroom until 2:30 p.m.
The exhibit was developed in a Veterans Administration office in Indianapolis.
Bryant invites the campus community to come at the beginning of the class and stay through the class period or come at 12:45 p.m.
The art expresses the veterans’ feelings toward war, fighting, triumphs, tragedies and dying. The art also examines the experience of returning home. Bryant said, “This is an exhibit from the heart, not protest nor political art.”
Three veterans with art in the exhibit will attend and answer questions.
