The St. Joseph County Chapter of the Indiana University Alumni Association preents Miss Indiana
The St. Joseph County Chapter of the IU Alumni Association presents IU student Betsy Uschkrat, the reigning Miss Indiana in the Heart and Soul Benefit Concert. The concert also will feature members of the Riley High School choral program, under the direction of Jane Voorde.
The concert will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, in the Riley High School auditorium.
The concert will benefit the Northern Indiana Food Bank. Guests are asked to bring a canned goods for their admission.
There will be a check prsentation from Kroger to the Northern Indiana Food Bank, from the company’s "Bringing Hope to the Table" campaign for Indiana Food Banks. The program raised more than $3 million in cash and $1 million in food. Jeff Golc, from the Indianapolis region Kroger office will present this gift to Miss Indiana on behalf of the Northern Indiana Food Bank.
Uschkrat is the founder of http://www.heartandsoulindiana.com/. Her platform as Miss Indiana is to feed all Hoosiers, especially the children.
On Thursday, November 16, at 7 a.m. Miss Indiana will be touring the Northern Indiana Food Bank, and taking pantry donations curbside, as the Food Bank prepares Thanksgiving baskets. The Food Bank will be offering the opportunity to meet Miss Indiana that morning when you make donations of canned food from 7 to 9 a.m.
