Mayoral Debate Scheduled for IU South Bend
October 17, 2003

South Bend Mayor Stephen Luecke and the Republican nominee Thomas R. Schmidt will meet for a debate at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, in Room 1001, Wiekamp Hall, Indiana University South Bend.

A reception will follow the debate at 6:30 p.m.

The debate is sponsored by the IU South Bend Political Science Club

Audience members are encouraged to arrive early because the lecture hall seats about 130 people.

Each candidate will make at two-minute opening statement followed by 40 minutes of questions from political science club representatives. The candidates also will have two minutes to make a closing remark.
