Terrorism is today’s hot button issue. It one of the principal topics of every nightly news show. Everyone is concerned about safety and what may happen next.

Two local speakers with insight into the terrorism situation will present the program, “Terrorism: How Safe Are We?” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, in the Alumni Room, Administration Building, Indiana University South Bend.

The program, which is part of the General Studies Education Committee series at IU South Bend, is to provide information on local and national concerns.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

The speakers will be Michael D. Carrington, former U.S. marshal and currently a criminal justice and security consultant; and Sgt. Dominic W. Zultanski, of the South Bend Police. Zultanski is a member of the St. Joseph County Anti-Terrorism Preparedness group.

Both men will have a short presentation and then take questions.
