South Bend – The Democratic and Republican candidates for St. Joseph County Prosecutor will debate on Friday, Oct. 13, in Room 1001, Wiekamp Hall, Indiana University South Bend. The 90-minute debate will begin at 7 p.m.
The incumbent Michael Dvorak and challenger Greg Kauffman will take questions about policy priorities, records and plans for the future in the face-to-face, two candidate format.
Professor Elizabeth Bennion, Campus Director of IU South Bend’s American Democracy Project, said that she was pleased by the high turnout at the prosecutor's debate during Dvorak's 2002 campaign against (then incumbent) Chris Toth and hoped that local voters would again fill the auditorium at this year's debate. "We are pleased to provide this opportunity for voters to hear about the issues of this campaign from the candidates themselves. We hope that voter will take advantage of this unique opportunity to educate themselves and to meet the candidates face-to-face."
