Indiana University South Bend will be the site of a town hall meeting and discussion on the economic impact of immigration. The event will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, in the Alumni Room, second floor of the Administration Building, 1700 Mishawaka Ave.
Registration and light refreshments will be served from 5:30 to 6 p.m. and the panel presentation will begin at 6 p.m.
The panelists will be Grant Black and Yvonne Larrier, School of Business and Economics, IU South Bend faculty members; Mark Eagan, president and CEO of the St. Joseph County Chamber of Commerce; David Martinez, president and CEO of JMS Plastics, Inc., South Bend; Xiaoyu (Sandra) Cao, IU South Bend accounting student from the People's Republic of China; and Zhibin (Daisy) Tian, IU South Bend communication student from the People's Republic of China.
Following the panel presentation, there will be an open discussion from 7 to 8 p.m.
