Are You Being Watched? The Surveillance of Society in the New Millennium

The Indiana University South Bend Division of Labor Studies, the Labor Studies Alumni Association, and the labor students will sponsor a talk by IU South Bend Professor Mike F. Keen entitled “Is Big Brother Watching You?: The Surveillance of Society in the New Millennium” at 6:30 p.m. Friday, September 19, in Room 113, Northside Hall, on the campus of IU South Bend.

The lecture will discuss tracking and surveillance in today’s society.

Keen, a professor of sociology and anthropology, is the author of the book Stalking the Sociological Imagination: J. Edgar Hoover’s FBI Surveillance of American Sociology, published by Greenwood Press in 1999. He has written a new introduction to the book, which will be released in October.

The lecture is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served before the talk, and questions will be fielded immediately after the talk. Free parking will be available.
