Faculty, Staff, Students, and Retirees:
Members of the IU Board of Trustees are conducting a series of open forums designed to solicit advice and recommendations from internal and external constituents of IU as part of the search for the 18th president of Indiana University.
The forums will take place on all campuses in coming weeks and are open to all interested parties, including faculty, students, staff, alumni, donors, civic leaders and residents.
At IU South Bend, the forum will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2006, in Room 225 of the Student Activities Center from 2 until 3 p.m. Trustee Philip N. Eskew Jr. will conduct the session.
Topics of discussion will include the major opportunities and challenges facing the university in the years ahead; the priorities that a new president should address in coming months; and, the most important personal and professional qualities the new leader should possess. The board is also interested in receiving the names of any individuals who should be considered for the position.
Please contact the Chancellor's Office should you have any questions.
