Schedule and Reservations
Whether this is your first college experience or you are transferring from another college or university, orientation is designed for you to successfully navigate the university and all its resources prior to the first day of class. Orientation is required for all students new to IU South Bend. Parents and guests are welcome to attend and lunch will be served.

Incoming spring 2010 students may attend orientation on one of the following days.

Orientation is an all-day program that runs from 8:30 a.m. until approximately 4:00 p.m.
Registering for Classes
Most students can register for classes prior to attending orientation. Go to the Pre-Orientation Checklist for details on registration.
Reservations will open in mid-October
You can reserve for orientation by:
- Submitting the online reservation form
- Calling the orientation phone line at (574) 520-4460; or
- Stopping by in person at the Gateway Information Center, located in the main lobby of the Administration Building on the South Bend campus. Click here for maps and directions.
