Step Four: Attend New Student Orientation
Orientation is a required program for all new and transfer students. At orientation, you receive a comprehensive introduction to the university and all its services. In addition, you meet with an academic advisor, register for your classes, and obtain your student
identification (ID). Parents and guests are welcome to attend, and lunch is
provided.
The New Student Enrollment Fee is $35.00, which is added to your tuition bill.
Students who enroll in courses but do not attend orientation
are still assessed the
New Student Enrollment fee on their tuition bill. No refunds
are made.
Orientation is a self-sustaining program. The New Student
Enrollment Fee is used to purchase all supplies and materials
and to pay for meals and the student leaders who assist in running the program.
You have a much better chance of getting the classes you want the earlier you attend orientation. You cannot attend orientation until you
have taken your placement exams. Get the picture?
