On May 4, 2006, in NS158 on the IU South Bend campus, the annual College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Honors Convocation was held. Among the honorees from the College were two outstanding Psychology majors who received awards given by the Department of Psychology.

Sarah York Bates received the Department's annual Award for Excellence in Psychology.

Tracy Moser received the annual James R. Haines Research Award for the paper she submitted that reported a research investigation she conducted for her advanced lab in psychology.
