Graduate Course Offering for Spring 2003

P537 Program Evaluation

P537 is taught in the department of Psychology, primarily for MA in Applied Psychology students.

However, this course is suitable for other IUSB graduate students who have a background in research methods. MA or MLS students who have some research skills/experience, and have an interest in community organizations or program design and implementation may find this course useful.

P537 examines program evaluation from both a practical and a theoretical perspective. Students will make contact with local agencies/programs, and will develop a program assessment, along with evaluation instruments, suitable for particular programs. We will also focus on theoretical issues such as program logic, different varieties of evaluation, and the politics of programs and research.

For more information, contact Prof. Catherine Borshuk in the department of Psychology (237-4122; cborshuk@iusb.edu).
