NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH (NIH)
REQUIRED EDUCATION IN THE PROTECTION OF HUMAN RESEARCH PARTICIPANTS
As announced in Important
Notice 00-5 dated August 8, 2000, NIH is requiring that all researchers
using human subjects demonstrate the completion of education in the protection
of human research participants. To this end, Indiana University has
developed a web-based tutorial program and a short web-based test covering
the rules presented in the tutorial. These tools are available through
the IU "Human Subjects
Certification" web site as well as a template documentation form enabling
each researcher to report the training that has been successfully completed.
This is a very short, unrepresentative list of funding opportunities.
It only reflects those hard copy RFPs that have been received by my office
in the last month or so. A more comprehensive list of current funding opportunities
can be found on the IU
Granstlink. You can also search
for funding opportunities using keywords from COS.
