An Announcement from the National Science Foundation concerning the switch
from PIN to Passwords for FastLane.

NSF has successfully moved several volunteer organizations from PINs to Passwords and will start moving over other users in two weeks.   The
changeover is scheduled as follows:

June 19 - All users with organizational management access
June 26 - All other users with last names starting with A-F
July 3 - All other users with last names starting with G-L
July 10 - All other users with last names starting with M-R
July 17 - All other users with last names starting with S-Z

For example, a user with organizational management access will need to choose a new password when they next login to the system (using their
present PIN) on or after June 19.    If a user does not access the system for months, they will still be able to login with their present PIN and
choose a new password at that time.  Users should not provide their passwords to anyone else.

Answers to common questions regarding the PIN-to-Password changeover and how sponsored research offices may edit, review and submit documents without
knowing user passwords may be found at http://www.fastlane.nsf.gov/a0/password.htm
