This is a very short, unrepresentative list of funding opportunities. It only reflects those hard copy RFPs that have been received by my office in the last month or so. I will be holding a UCET BrownBag workshop on grants on 5 November 1999 at 12:30pm in NS245. This workshop is specifically geared to new faculty, but anyone can join us.

There will be a workshop on the NSF Fastlane system in Bloomington on Thursday, November 11, 1999, 9:30 - 11:00 a.m., IMU, Room M088. You must register for this conference through my office.
IU now subscribes to the Community of Science/Community
of Scholars database system. This is an internet site for faculty and researchers
in all disciplines (not just the sciences) to find funding, promote their research,
and collaborate with colleagues. This system will be replacing the SMARTS grant notification
system. I will keep you posted as more changes occur.
