Searching for Funding Opportunities

IUSB Internal Funding | IU Funding Opportunities

Search for Sponsors and Opportunities

  •  Community of Science - COS provides IUSB with access to services that help you find funding in all the academic disciplines, publicize your research online, and locate potential collaborators. Besides the normal search functions, which are available to anyone with an IUSB connection, COS has a "Funding Alert" system.  Faculty member can send a list of approximately 10 to 20 keywords to the Research Office and they will be entered along with their faculty profile into the system. Appropriate grant opportunities will automatically be e-mailed to them each week.
  •

  • Foundation Center - IUSB holds a limited license to search the Foundation Center Database. Contact Erika Zynda (research@iusb.edu) to set up a time to run your own search. The Foundation Center is an independent nonprofit information clearinghouse established in 1956. The Center's mission is to foster public understanding of the foundation field by collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating information on foundations, corporate giving, and related subjects. The audiences that call on the Center's resources include grantseekers, grantmakers, researchers, policymakers, the media, and the general public.
  • Grants.gov -  Grants.gov provides organizations with the ability to search for Federal government-wide grant opportunities. The Office of Federal Financial Management recently issued a policy directive (.pdf) requiring that all Federal agencies post grant opportunities online as of November 7.

  • Guidestar - GuideStar is a searchable database of more than 640,000 nonprofit organizations in the United States.
