What is a club sport?
A club sport is a voluntarily-organized student group, started by and for students who are motivated by a common interest in expanding their proficiency, participation, and competition in a specific sport or recreational activity. We have a variety of club sports available on campus. For current club sports' leaders' contact information, click here.

How Can I Join a Club Sport?

Who can join?
Club sports are organized by students, but membership is open to the IU South Bend community, as long as students comprise the majority of the club's membership. Also, if your club competes, only students may participate in the competition.

Do I have to try out?
No! Each club sport is open to all participants, regardless of skill, ability, or experience.

How do I contact a club I want to join?
A current contact person for each club is available here. Just e-mail or call the person(s) listed for your club, and they can assist you in becoming a member. You can also call (574) 520-4594, and the assistant director will assist you.

How much does it cost?
The members of each club sport determines whether membership dues are assessed and how much they are.

What If I Want to Start a New Club?
To start a new club, or reactivate an inactive club, contact the assistant director. Just set up a time to learn about the process by calling (574) 520-4594. We look forward to working with you!
