Environmental Health and Safety will be conducting fire drills September 2-4, 2008. The purpose of fire drills is to prepare building occupants for an organized evacuation in case of fire or other emergency. The schedule of buildings and times is listed below.

When you hear the fire alarm:
· If it is possible to do so without placing yourself at risk gather your keys, purse and coat as you leave the area
· Close office and classroom doors as you leave
· Evacuate using the closest safe exit
· When you get outside, move away from the exit
· If you are aware that someone may still be in the building either let campus police or the fire department know
· Stay out of the building until the campus police or the fire department say it is safe to re-enter
