  • Begin search for an appropriate institutional site to replicate SOCACT as an international service-learning model
  • Identify funding to bring aboard a Project Manager
  • Begin goal setting for new 5-year cycle linking community partners in South Bend, Indiana and Durban, South Africa.
  • Begin planning the partnership with Giving Hope Project in Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
  • July: Project Director to Kigali, Rwanda; Kampala, Uganda; and Huwaya District, Tanzania to launch the Giving Hope Project monitoring.
  • Child Rights Exhibit:  complete paperwork for Institutional Review Board approvals.

 

  • Breaking Silence to continue building international network for LGBT issues

 

  • Art Explore at Center for the Homeless: seek Administrative Agreements about details of the partnership with Umcebo Trust, Durban South Africa.

 

  • Giving Hope Project: complete paperwork for Institutional Review Board approvals.

  • Begin transfer of administrative responsibility to Project Manager
  • Jun: South Bend, IN team to Durban, South Africa
  • July: Project Director from South Bend, IN to Kigali, Rwanda
  • Begin implementation of new 5-year cycle linking community partners in South Bend, Indiana; Durban, South Africa; and Kigali, Rwanda.
  • Child Rights Exhibit: install traveling exhibit in venues around Michiana, including IU-South Bend in Spring, 2009.
  • Art Explore at Center for the Homeless, South Bend, IN partnered with Umcebo Trust, Durban South Africa.
  • Breaking Silence: continue building international network for LGBT issues
  • Giving Hope Project: create instruments and train coders for qualitative analysis.

  • Complete transfer of administrative power to Project Manager

  • Continue implementation of project initiatives, with provisional end for writing for the International Community Psychology Meeting, San Paolo, Brazil.
  • Child Rights Exhibit: analysis of installation impact and write for presentation at Community Psychology conference.
  • Art Explore at Center for the Homeless, South Bend, IN partnered with Umcebo Trust, Durban South Africa.

 

  • Breaking Silence: continue building international network for LGBT issues

  • Begin planning the evolution of the partnership with Giving Hope Project in Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
  • Child Rights Exhibit: next stop for traveling exhibit?
