• Click to position the cursor in the desired location on the page for the top left corner of the picture. Move the pointer to "Insert" at the top of the page and click.

A menu opens down.

• Move the pointer down to "Picture" and click on "Picture", a menu opens to the right. Move the pointer over to "Clip Art...", and click on "Clip Art...".

 The box to the right side of the page changes to "Clip Art...".

Near the top of that box, find the words "Search for:".

• In the white space under "Search for:", type in the desired word or theme. For example, type in “cat” or “bridge” or “mountain” or “computer.”
• Click on the rectangle to the right of the search word, labeled "Go".

Squares appear in the "Clip Art" column. Soon they are replaced by small pictures.

Notice that some of these are drawings or cartoons, and others are photographs.

• For practice, pick one that is a drawing or cartoon, and click on it. It will appear on the page.
