Although the file is not complete, it is a good habit to save them often. It is a very good idea to save throughout the tutorial as well.
Save the Page
- Look for the word "File" again, just under the blue bar at the top of the page. Move the pointer to the word "File" and click on it—a menu opens down.
- Move the pointer down the menu to "Save As". Click on "Save As"—a box opens.

- At the top of the box, next to "Save in", the white bar should say "My Documents".
Near the bottom of the box, next to "File name", the white bar should read "index.html".
- At the bottom of the box, to the right of the bar after "Save as type", click on the arrow (triangle) to open some choices. Click on "HTML Files".

- Move the pointer to the lower right area of the box, and
left-click on the button labeled "Save". The box will close.
- Check to make sure that the blue bar at the top of your page now shows the location and name of
the file, as well as the program name ("Microsoft FrontPage").

Save the work from time to time—especially when leaving the computer for a few minutes, or
after completing something challenging!
After naming the file, it may be saved it again by moving
the pointer to "File" at the top of the page and clicking "File", then moving down the menu to click on "Save". This does not open a box, so it is quick and easy.

Save periodically as follows: locate the
icon and click on it. This saves the page (the same as
clicking "File" and "Save") and prevents data loss.
