Before beginning this section, complete the previous section, Checking Audacity's Settings.

Recording
Once the settings in Audacity are verified, it is time to make a recording.

—When you are ready to begin recording, press the Record button.

Caution: To pause the recording, press the Pause button. To start recording again, press the Pause button again. Pressing the Stop button will end the recording entirely. Pressing the Record button again will start a new recording which will play at the same time as the previous recording.
