Interests
My current research is focused on the interactions between cultures, especially as played out in the Caribbean in the 15 th century and the United States in more recent years. As a tool to learn more about how different groups influenced each other, I am applying biochemical analyses to archaeological artifacts to reconstruct their diets. Food is of particular interest to me, both that used by people in the past and dishes I create here in the present.
