What is SHRM????????

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the leading voice of the human resource profession. Members have the opportunity to network with local professionals and other SHRM members. Other benefits include monthly meetings with guest speakers who are local business leaders, information on career options, assistance finding a job, and leadership opportunities. Best of all, membership to the IUSB Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management is FREE! We have board positions open so please contact Jessica P. Smith at jmpowell@iusb.edu if interested in joining.

SHRM includes a global membership of more than 200,000. SHRM has members in 120 countries including Canada, China, United Kingdom, Australia, Bermuda, Japan, Singapore, Trinidad, Bahamas and Germany. SHRM provides its membership with education and information services, conferences and seminars, government and media representation, and publications that equip human resource professionals for their roles as leaders and decision makers within their organizations.

The Society is committed to the development of the human resource management (HRM) profession, and nowhere is that commitment more evident than in the student membership program such as the one at IUSB.
