Work Study Student Engagement Grant Program
The office of the Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs is pleased to announce that we are continuing the Work Study Student Engagement grant program again this year. This program will help fulfill the Academic Senate’s request for funding to allow faculty to engage work-study students to help them with their research. As with last year’s funding, preference will be given for faculty-led projects and projects that are beyond clerical duties. Our goal is to have more students engaged in meaningful work on campus which will lead to better retention and graduation.
If you would like to request work-study funding for the 2017-18 Academic Year please complete the proposal here (https://iu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2sfXKRbz7IXveRf)
In the proposal you will need to give us a brief description of the project the students will be working on, the key project goals, and a detailed mentoring plan for the students.
If you have multiple projects you should complete separate proposals for each project with the requested number of students and the expected number of hours. In general we would like this program to fund “new” positions, but if you received one of these grant awards last year you may request to continue the funding after submitting your final report.
