IU Alumni Association South Bend Region Awards

Distinguished Alumni Award

The IU South Bend Alumni Association Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes outstanding IU South Bend alumni who have made significant contributions to their communities or professions. Any living IU South Bend alum is eligible for nomination. The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented during IU South Bend's annual Commencement ceremony.

This award was established to recognize a full-time current or retired faculty member who has made a significant positive impact on the lives of their students at IU South Bend in the classroom and through mentoring, advising or other activities.

Distinguished Alumni Service Award

Each year, Indiana University recognizes outstanding alumni with the Distinguished Alumni Service Award, the highest accolade reserved solely for alumni. The awardees are leaders in their chosen fields who make significant contributions benefiting their community, state, nation, or university.

President’s Award

This award honors the IU Alumni Association's most dedicated volunteers, those who lead the way in providing opportunities for their fellow alumni and friends to stay connected with their alma mater. They help us strengthen the bonds between alumni and the university.
