BFA Exhibition features eight graduating artists
Graduating New Media and Visual Arts students present their BFA exhibitions on campus in November. The exhibitions will open with a reception on November 29, 4-6 pm, in the East Lounge of Northside Hall. The artists will give their gallery talks at 6 pm.
While the majority of work will be in the students’ concentrations, guests can expect to see work from these students’ portfolios representing their career at IU South Bend. For the BFA Student Exhibition, participating students are expected to prepare their art for display, install the exhibition, and address their audience at the opening reception.
Work by photography students Dean Cates and Ellen Ridenour will be located in the 2nd floor board room reception area in the Administration Building from 7 am to 10 pm daily.
Work by Painting and Drawing students Sarah DeMaegd and Amy Ellis will be shown in the 5th floor atrium of the Schurz Library from 8 am-12 am Monday-Thursday, 8 am-5 pm Friday, 10 am-5 pm Saturday, and 12 pm-12 am Sunday.
Work by New Media student Edgar Medina, New Media/Graphic Design students Katie Brenneman, Iryna Gillis, and Stacey VanDenDreissche, and Sculpture student Justin Joy will be on display in the East Lounge of Northside Hall from 7 am-10 pm daily.
