Wind Ensemble performance features new soloists

IU South Bend Wind EnsembleThe IU South Bend Wind Ensemble will perform at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, November 13, in the Campus Auditorium of Northside Hall.

Many soloists will be joining the wind ensemble including IU South Bend students Alyssa Cabrera on alto saxophone, Jordan Cavitt on bassoon, Jeremy Ong on trombone, and local music educator Dennis Gamble on trumpet. The program will feature the music of J. S. Bach, Herbert Clarke, Claude Debussy, Juilus Fucik, Alexandre Guilmant, Robert Jager, and Alfred Reed.

Wind Ensemble Director Ken Douglas is an assistant professor of music education and coordinates the music education program. As an active guest conductor, lecturer, and clinician, Douglas has presented instrumental performances and clinics for many universities and organizations.
