Euclid CD release and June H. Edwards celebration

Please join us on Friday, April 5, in our celebration of the release of the Euclid Quartet’s CD, Bartòk String Quartets Nos. 1, 3 &5 and to honor June H. Edwards for her support of this project. Dessert and coffee will be served.

Following the reception, the Euclid Quartet String Studio will present its spring recital. These students of the school of the arts’ resident Euclid Quartet will present solo, duo, and small ensemble selections.

Concert-goers can expect to hear Katherine Price perform Dvořák’s Sonatina, as well as performances by Kendrick Allenson on cello, Julia Beebe on viola, Helen Pappas on violin, Patarut Panosot on violin and Alec Radecki on cello.

Student ensembles will also play the Brahm’s Piano Quintet in f minor, among other selections.

The studio is led by the Euclid Quartet, made up of violinists Jameson Cooper and Jacob Murphy, violist Luis Vargas, and cellist Si-Yan Darren Li. In 2007, the Euclid Quartet was appointed the quartet-in-residence at IU South Bend, where the four of them teach private lessons and coach chamber music.

Tickets for the Euclid Quartet String Studio are available for $3 in advance and $5 at the door. Tickets for students and children are free. For more information or to order tickets please visit or call the arts box office at 574.520.4203.
